Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, and deliver specialized wound, skin, and ostomy care. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to promote healing and improve patient outcomes in a mission-driven environment.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, Maryland RN licensure, and WOCN certification with at least 1 year of wound care experience; BSN preferred. New hire bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; RN licensure in Maryland required.
• BSN preferred; if not on hire, agreement to obtain within a specified time frame.
• WOCN (Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing) Certification required; at least 1 year of wound care experience; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound, skin, and ostomy assessments across all age groups.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on clinical findings.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding wound prevention and management.
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and healthcare team members to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Support the mission of Holy Cross Health and Trinity Health, delivering care with compassion and excellence.
• Deliver care with sensitivity to the unique physical and psychosocial needs of patients, from neonates to geriatric populations.
