Job summary

The Wound Care Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care and is responsible for the implementation and management of care for draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, skin breakdown and incontinence. The Wound Care Nurse will coordinate communication with the interdisciplinary team on patient wound status and barriers to discharge.

This role includes assimilation and reporting of performance data and productivity statistics for quality management and will contribute to discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license and renewal as per State Board of Nursing.
• Wound care certification preferred.
• Sharp debridement certification preferred.
• English reading, writing and speaking with good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with minimal guidance.
