Job summary

The Wound Care Nurse position at American Advanced Management, Inc. provides direct and indirect patient care focused on draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers and skin breakdown. You will coordinate care and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge.

Responsibilities include implementing wound care plans, reporting performance data for quality management, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must hold a current RN state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing
• Certification in wound care preferred
• Certification in sharp debridement procedures preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills
• Basic computer skills with minimal guidance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care for wound care needs including draining wounds, fistulas and pressure ulcers
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and communicate barriers to discharge
• Assimilate and report performance data and productivity statistics for quality management
