Job summary

MID JEFFERSON HOSPITAL is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care and manage care for draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, skin breakdown and incontinence. You will coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to address wound status and barriers to discharge.

This role requires a valid nursing license (LVN/RN) and experience in wound care; certification in wound care and debridement are preferred to support quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a current state license and maintain renewal in accordance with the State Board of Nursing (LVN/RN).
• Certification in wound care preferred.
• Certification in sharp debridement procedures preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care for wounds, fistulas, ulcers, skin breakdown and incontinence.
• Manage implementation of wound care and reporting of performance data for quality management.

The Wound Care Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care and is responsible for the implementation and management of care for draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, skin breakdown and incontinence. Duties also include the assimilation and reporting of performance data and productivity statistics for quality management. The Wound Care Nurse will coordinate communication with the interdisciplinary team on patient wound status and barriers to discharge.

Position Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
