Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care to join the team on the day shift. The RN will provide wound care across all patient ages, follow standard policies, and participate in care conferences and ongoing education.

Candidates must hold an Active North Carolina or compact RN license, obtain BLS within 30 days, and complete ACLS/PALS within six months. Prior RN experience is preferred, with ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and nursing services to patients of all ages.
• Follow WHC policies, procedures, care protocols and guidelines.
• Assist with patient and wound care data conferences.
• Pursue continuing education as directed by the Program Director.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
• Develop and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
