Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Wound Care team on a PRN basis. The role covers 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, with focus on wound care for patients of all ages and related clinical duties.

The RN will follow hospital policies, participate in data conferences, and pursue ongoing education as directed by the Program Director. North Carolina licensure is required; BLS, ACLS & PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or Compact state license required.
• One year of nursing experience preferred, wound care a plus.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and nursing care for patients of all ages.
• Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for each patient.
• Perform accurate patient assessments and document medical necessity in the chart.
• Contribute to patient and wound care data conferences and QA activities.
• Adhere to WHC policies, procedures and clinical practice guidelines.
