The Unboarded Graduate has graduated from an accredited nursing program but has not passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Functioning as a member of the Care Delivery Team, the Unboarded RN Graduate works under the direction of a Clinical Nurse to provide direct, quality nursing care for patients and performs duties as assigned. The Unboarded RN Graduate must progress to the Registered Nurse (RN) New to Practice within 90 days of hire, in accordance with the State Board of Nursing licensing requirements. If licensure is not obtained due to not passing NCLEX, it must be obtained within 60 days of the NCLEX fail date.
Includes exposure to high-stress situations, physical altercations, environmental hazards, and potential infectious materials. Travel to off-site locations may be required.
