Regency at Lansing is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to oversee wound care programs for residents in our skilled nursing facility in Lansing, MI. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and promoting optimal skin health.

Join our team to provide clinical leadership, educate staff, and advocate for residents and families. Two years’ wound care experience and current Wound Care certification are preferred; active MI RN or LPN

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in state of Michigan.
• Two years' wound care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current Wound Care certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Treatment Nurse as per scope of practice.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Description

The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound care treatment programs for residents within the skilled nursing facility. This role ensures compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations while promoting optimal skin health, healing, and prevention of pressure injuries and other wounds. The Wound Care Nurse serves as a clinical resource, educator, and advocate for residents, families, and staff regarding wound prevention and management.

Education and/or Experience:

• At least two years' experience working in Wound Care preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
