Job summary

Regency at Lansing West is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to oversee wound care programs for residents in a skilled nursing facility in Michigan. The role focuses on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

The position supports staff education, serves as a clinical resource, and promotes optimal skin health and prevention of wounds. Two years of wound care experience and active licensure are preferred, along with required CPR

Qualifications

• Two years' wound care experience preferred.
• Must hold valid RN or LPN state licensure.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current Wound Care certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Treatment Nurse as per scope of practice.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience

• At least two years' experience working in Wound Care preferred.
