Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to oversee and develop wound care services within our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will collaborate with clinical teams to guide wound care treatments and lead staff education on wound care topics, while educating patients and families about wounds and wound care.

The role emphasizes ongoing education, staying current with wound care advances, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.

Qualifications

• RN/PT/OT required for acute rehab hospitals; RN required for long‑term acute care hospitals.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Minimum one year of wound care experience is required.
• Continuous education in wound care through seminars/professional organizations is required.
• Skills include effective communication, decision-making, and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop wound care services in adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide guidance on wound care treatments.
• Lead educational efforts for hospital staff on wound care topics, and educate patients and families on wounds and wound care.
• Maintain continuous education and stay updated on the latest wound care techniques and advancements.
