Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Wound Care Physician in Birmingham, Alabama. The position offers full-time or part-time schedules with a generous salary range and no-call constraints, focusing on wound care in SNFs across the area. Practitioners will perform debridement and advanced wound therapies, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and enjoy autonomy with modern documentation tools.

MDs or DOs with U.S. licensure are welcome to apply and training is provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility.
• Open background; wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
