Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Physician to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a no-call, Monday-to-Friday schedule with options for part-time or full-time work and hands-on procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD or DO, be licensed (or eligible) in Alabama, and have DEA eligibility. Comprehensive wound care training is provided, with clinical autonomy and supportive collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the practicing state (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background – wound care training provided; no prior wound care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting.
