Job summary

RUSH Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient post-ICU care team. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly compensation of $46.58 to $62, based on experience, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

As a wound care RN, you will lead skin and wound care rounds, collaborate with medical staff, and ensure regulatory requirements are met. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• AD required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Valid State RN License.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Must complete wound care training in first 90 days in role.

Responsibilities

• Preserve skin integrity by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
• Ensure wound and skin care protocols are approved by medical staff.
• Organize multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds weekly for high risk patients and those with current pressure ulcers.
• Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care issues.
• Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
