Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - North Mississippi is seeking a Full Time Wound Care Nurse (RN) to evaluate wounds in both inpatients and outpatients, monitor and treat according to policies. The role provides direct and indirect patient care in a LTACH setting and requires timely communication with physicians and care teams about changes in clinical status.

The position requires current RN licensure in Mississippi, ACLS for LTACH, and BLS certification; Wound Care certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in state of employment.
• ACLS certification required for LTACH; Wound Care certification preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates wounds in in/out patients and treats per policies and procedures.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the LTACH setting.
• Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers about changes in patient condition including diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
