Select Specialty Hospital - Grosse Pointe in Detroit, MI is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) for a full-time position. The role focuses on skin integrity, wound management, and collaborative rounds with a multidisciplinary team.

The nurse provides hands-on care, ensures protocol compliance, and supports regulatory requirements in a high-acuity setting. Qualified candidates hold an RN license, AD in Nursing, and a BLS certificate with at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• AD (Associate's degree in Nursing) required.
• 1 year of related nursing experience required.
• Valid State RN license and BLS certification by start date.

Responsabilités

• Preserve skin integrity by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
• Ensure all wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.
• Organize multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds weekly for high risk patients and those with current pressure ulcers.
• Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care issues.
• Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

Schedule: Full Time

Compensation: $40.64 to $54.00 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Preserving the integrity of the skin by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.

• Ensuring all wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.

• Organizing multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers and other significant wounds.

• Providing hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing wounds.

• Serving as a resource to all hospital staff on all issues related to wound and skin care.

• Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• AD (Associate's degree in Nursing) required.

• One (1) year of related experience required.

• Valid State RN License.

• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

• Must complete wound care training in the first 90 days in the role.

Preferred qualifications:

• BSN preferred.
