Job summary

Healing Partners is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to travel between Skilled Nursing Facilities providing wound care and patient management. Responsibilities include evaluating health care for residents and staff, treating wounds, and coordinating with physicians and the medical director.

The role requires an active RN license, APRN license, and a master’s in nursing, with travel as a core component. Salary is competitive and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Proof of Covid vaccination.
• Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
• Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
• Master’s degree of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities; schedules vary by region.
• Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend follow-up.
• Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, perform bedside procedures related to wound care.
• Collaborate with medical director in care of residents and staff.
• Debride wounds by sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, or surgical methods as needed.
• Apply and manage topical wound care and products.
• Advise services to improve wound healing outcomes.
• Educate patients and primary care physicians on wound management practices.
