Job summary

Healing Partners seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to lead resident health care in long-term care facilities, plan and evaluate care, and perform wound-related procedures. Travel daily to multiple sites is required as scheduling demands.

Requirements include Maryland RN license, active APRN license, MSN, NP program completion, and Covid vaccination proof. Strong organization and clinical skills are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proof of Covid vaccination.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
• Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
• Master’s degree of Nursing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities. Regions can vary based on scheduling needs.
• Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpretation of diagnostic tests and recommendation of appropriate follow-up.
• Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures.
• Work with the medical director in the care and treatment of residents and staff.
• Debridement of wounds by various methods as needed on-site.
• Education of patients and Primary Care Physicians on wound management practices.
