Job summary

Healing Partners is a leading wound care provider serving Skilled Nursing Facilities. The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner will plan, direct, and evaluate health care across resident and staff, with daily travel to multiple facilities and a focus on wound care and prevention.

The NP must hold an active RN license and a Master’s in Nursing with an APRN license, plus certification steps and strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Proof of Covid vaccination.
• Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
• Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
• Master’s degree of Nursing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities. Regions can vary based on scheduling needs.
• Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend follow-up.
• Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures associated with wound care.
• Work with the medical director in the care and treatment of residents and staff.
• Debridement of wounds by various methods as needed on-site.
• Application and management of topical wound care and products.
• Direction and recommendation of services to improve wound healing outcomes.
• Educate patients and Primary Care Physicians on wound management practices.
