Job summary

Healing Partners is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to oversee resident and staff health care across multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities. The role involves daily travel, wound care management, prescriptions, and procedures with supervision from the medical director.

This full-time position requires NP board eligibility and Covid vaccination, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Candidates must be licensed as an RN in the state and hold an active NP license.

Qualifications

• Proof of Covid vaccination.
• Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
• Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
• Master’s degree of Nursing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities; scheduling varies by location.
• Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and follow up as needed.
• Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures associated with wound care.
• Collaborate with medical director in resident and staff care and treatment.
• Debride wounds using appropriate methods.
• Apply and manage wound care products.
• Recommend services to improve wound healing outcomes.
• Educate patients and primary care physicians on wound management practices.
