Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions in Columbus, OH is seeking a Wound Nurse Practitioner to provide wound care services to residents in long-term care facilities. The role emphasizes collaboration on care plans and coordinating with primary care physicians.

The ideal candidate holds an OH NP license, board certification, and wound care experience; proficiency with EMR and interdisciplinary teams is essential. DEA licensure is optional.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP license in OH.
• Board Certification as NP.
• DEA licensure (optional) is acceptable.
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric settings.
• Wound care experience with chronic, stalled or infected wounds.
• Ability to diagnose and treat vascular and diabetic wounds.
• Familiar with wound care products and DME such as wound vacs.
• Experience in long-term care and EMR use.
• Comfortable working in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per OH law.
• Order and follow up on treatments and testing as needed.
• Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition.
• Contribute to and update the care plan.
• Collaborate with the primary care physician.
