Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted NP license in Ohio.
- Board certification required.
- Experience in wound care within long-term care settings preferred.
- Ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team.
- Knowledge of wound care products and wound VACs.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with OH law.
- Order, review, and follow up with treatments and diagnostic testing.
- Communicate with nursing home staff regularly to discuss changes in condition and care plans.
- Collaborate with the primary care physician.
