Job summary
CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound services to residents in long-term care facilities. You will prescribe medications, order and follow up on treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and primary care physicians.
Qualified candidates hold an Ohio NP license with board certification, experience in wound care and long-term care, and familiarity with EMR systems and wound care products. DEA licensure is optional.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed as an NP in Ohio.
- Board-certified NP with wound care experience.
- Familiar with wound care best practices and supplies.
- Experience with wound vacs and DME.
- Comfort diagnosing and treating chronic wounds including Kennedy ulcers.
- Experience in long-term care settings and EMR usage.
- Value collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care patients residing in skilled nursing facilities.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per OH law.
- Order, review, and follow up with treatments and diagnostics.
- Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plans.
- Collaborate with the primary care physician.
