Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver wound care to residents of long-term care facilities in Ohio. You will diagnose, treat, and manage wounds, prescribing meds per state law and coordinating with facility staff to update care plans.

Required are an unrestricted Ohio NP license, board certification, and wound-care experience within geriatric settings; DEA is optional. EMR familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted NP license in Ohio.
• Board certification required.
• DEA license optional.
• Clinical wound care background in adult/geriatric populations.
• Experience with chronic and acute wounds, including Kennedy ulcers.
• Comfort diagnosing and treating vascular/diabetic wounds.
• Ability to stage pressure injuries per NPIAP.
• Familiar with wound care products and best practices.
• Experience with EMR and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per OH law.
• Order, review, and follow up with treatments and testing.
• Communicate with nursing home staff regarding changes in condition and care plans.
• Collaborate with the primary care physician.
