Job summary

North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide advanced wound management for inpatient and outpatient populations. This exempt, full-time, on-site role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams to deliver evidence-based care.

Responsibilities include assessments, debridement, wound planning, documentation in the EHR, patient education, and participation in CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: MSN or DNP from an accredited APRN program.
• Licensure: Texas APRN with FNP/AGACNP or equivalent license.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS; wound-care cert preferred (CWS/CWSP or WCC).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced wound management for inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Perform non-surgical wound procedures and debridement per clinical privileges.
• Develop and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and therapy teams.
• Document care thoroughly in the EHR and ensure billing/coding accuracy.
• Participate in CQI initiatives and contribute to safety and quality goals.
