• Must be licensed as a registered nurse in the state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Examin e and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Refer to physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside wound procedures.
• Educate patients and primary care physicians on wound management practices.
