Job summary

Bakersfield Post Acute in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a compassionate LVN to join as a full-time Wound/Treatment Nurse. You will provide wound care and treatments per physician orders, document progress, and ensure resident safety and comfort while upholding facility policies.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing program degree, an active California LVN license, BLS, and at least two years in wound care or long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active California LVN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Wound care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound care and treatments per physician orders and care plans.
• Accurately assess and document wounds, skin conditions, and responses to treatment.
• Monitor healing progress and notify physicians of deterioration or lack of improvement.
• Maintain complete, accurate treatment records and nursing notes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality resident care.
• Notify physicians of significant treatment-related concerns.
