Bakersfield Post Acute in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join us as a full-time Wound/Treatment Nurse. You will provide wound care and related treatments per physician orders and maintain accurate records and documentation.

The role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on promoting healing, preserving skin integrity, and delivering resident-centered care while collaborating with physicians, nursing colleagues, therapy, dietary and other

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active California LVN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Wound care, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PointClickCare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound care and treatments per physician orders and care plans.
• Assess and document wounds, skin injuries, and responses to treatment.
• Monitor healing, notify physicians of deterioration or lack of progress.
• Maintain complete, accurate nursing notes and records.
• Carry out physician orders for medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy, dietary and other staff.
