Job summary

Bakersfield Post Acute, a full-time Wound/Treatment Nurse LVN position, seeks a compassionate LVN to provide wound care and treatments per physician orders and care plans. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and emphasizes resident-centered care, skin integrity, and timely documentation.

Qualifications include an active California LVN license and CPR/BLS certification, with 2+ years of nursing experience preferred and experience in wound care or long-term care strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current California LVN license and CPR/BLS certification.
• Two+ years nursing experience; wound care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound care and treatments per physician orders and care plans.
• Assess and document wounds, skin conditions, and responses to treatment.
• Monitor healing progress and notify physicians of deterioration or lack of improvement.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and nursing notes.
• Carry out physician orders for medications, treatments, and resident care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
