Job summary

Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for all shifts to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise CNAs. The LVN will ensure care meets federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

This role includes charting, medication administration, supervising staff, and participating in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LVN program.
• Current, active LVN license in the State of California.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must maintain required continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily functions of nursing assistants in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Complete admission, transfer, and discharge documentation accurately.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Provide leadership and supervision to assigned nursing staff.
• Conduct shift rounds to ensure care standards and quality.
