Job summary

Healogics, LLC. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support under RN or Provider supervision at our Melrose Park location.

The role includes pre-certification, vitals, wound measurements, documentation, and insurance coordination, contributing to efficient patient flow and quality care. Qualified candidates will have a CMA certification, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred experience in acute hospital or rehab settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program approved by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Current CMA certification and maintenance during employment.
• 6+ months of related acute hospital/rehabilitation/skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/LPN during intake and discharge; collect vitals, wound measurements, and specimens.
• Help in vein clinic after training completion.
• Document visits and assist with billing documentation and extensions with insurers.
• Perform Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy related duties as trained.
• Handle clerical duties such as scheduling, insurance verification, and data entry.
• Maintain clean exams areas and sterilize instruments.
• Support Front Office staff with calls, patient greeting, and appointment scheduling.
