Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs and drive a proactive safety culture at Monroe, OH.

You will conduct daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments, deliver engaging training, and partner with frontline associates and leadership to prevent injuries.

The role requires strong communication, data analysis, and the ability to translate safety data into practical improvements while ensuring OSHA 29 CFR 1910 compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field preferred.
• Experience in EHS or safety-related role is desirable.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910).
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 3 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs with data-driven strategies and audits.
• Investigate incidents and perform risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training that engages associates and promotes safety culture.
• Advise associates and leadership to promote safe practices.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and related standards.
• Assist emergency response and incident management at the site.
