Blackstone is seeking a seasoned Workplace Experience leader to manage and coordinate operations for the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. Responsibilities

  • Lead Workplace Experience operations for the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices, including reception, hospitality, pantries, conference rooms, and facilities management.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and visitor services, including room bookings, catering logistics, and vendor coordination.
  • Oversee daily office operations, inventory, maintenance, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures, service standards, and processes with KPIs and data analysis.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, building management, and service providers to ensure on‑budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, CRE, Design & Construction, Security, Finance, and Procurement on workplace projects.
  • Manage Workplace Experience budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.

The Global Corporate Services (GCS) team at Blackstone services all global offices and lines of businesses across the firm. The GCS team is delineated by its Corporate Real Estate & Strategy (CRES), Administrative Services (AS) and Travel & Expense (T&E) departments which deliver services associated with Corporate Real Estate, Workplace Services, Facilities, Design & Construction, Office Services, Conference, Meeting Room & Internal Events Management, Catering Dining & Pantry Services and Travel Expense and Records Management. We are seeking a full-time employee to join and lead Workplace Experience in San Francisco, CA.

Position Overview

Blackstone is seeking an experienced client services professional responsible for managing and coordinating operational teams in San Francisco. This function serves as the initial point of contact for employee and client inquiries, issues, troubleshooting, complements and feedback related to the services within the office, with the goal of efficient and positive resolution. The candidate is responsible for delivering exceptional workplace experience through engagement, proactive communication and high touch service.

Full time, onsite Monday - Friday

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
  • Lead all Workplace Experience operations for the San Francisco and LA office, including reception, hospitality, pantries, conference rooms, office services, catering, internal events, and facilities management, ensuring delivery of a seamless, high-quality workplace experience aligned with Blackstone standards.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution of meetings, events, and visitor services, including room bookings, catering logistics, vendor coordination, room setup, and on-site support, while serving as the local subject matter expert for workplace technology platforms such as EMS, Cvent, and Envoy.
  • Manage day‑to‑day office operations through regular walkthroughs, inventory management, quality control, and oversight of maintenance, repairs, cleanliness, and food and beverage areas to ensure operational excellence and compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures, service standards, and workplace processes across all Workplace Experience functions, leveraging reporting, activity tracking, SLAs, KPIs, and data analysis to identify service enhancements, operational efficiencies, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, building management, and service providers, including vendor onboarding, performance management, contract compliance, invoice processing, and ongoing partnership management to ensure consistent service delivery within budget.
  • Partner with Facilities, Corporate Real Estate, Design & Construction, Physical Security, Finance, and Procurement teams to support workplace projects, office moves, space reconfigurations, workplace technology initiatives, and overall operational continuity across the San Francisco office.
  • Manage Workplace Experience budgets, including expense tracking, financial reporting, annual planning support, and identification of cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining service quality and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications / Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in workplace operations, hospitality, food & beverage, reception services, or related corporate services environments.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the skill to build strong relationships, anticipate stakeholder needs, and manage sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem‑solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail and the capability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and results‑oriented self‑starter with sound judgment, a strong work ethic, and the capability to remain calm under pressure while working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the capability to represent the firm professionally with internal stakeholders, vendors, landlord representatives, building management, and local authorities.
