Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Architect for test fits, space planning and early design concepts on client workplace projects. You will work under senior project architects, moving between individual test-fit tasks and multi-party meetings with customers, contractors and project teams.

The role is on-site at the client's campus in Dearborn, MI, with responsibilities spanning programming, schematic design and coordination with external Architects of Record as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience; NCARB certification or Architectural license required.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills for percentages, fractions and related calculations.

Responsibilities

• Identify client project goals, objectives and quality expectations from data and research.
• Develop test fits and space plans to evaluate program fit against Ford Land standards.
• Provide initial design direction and concept-level design; coordinate with external Architect of Record as needed.
• Act as liaison between client and project team; build lasting relationships.
• Ensure HSSE compliance in all designs and creations within the project.
• Assist with early design phases, including programming and schematic/concept design.
• Participate in project meetings with customers, contractors and project management teams.
• Coordinate with consultants and external AORs for full documentation under senior guidance.
• Apply standard design principles to typical assignments; escalate complex issues to seniors.
• Model CBRE RISE values in leadership and consensus-building.
• Work within guidelines and policies with sound day-to-day design judgment.
