KanEquip Career Opportunities seeks a Working Shop Foreman to assist the Service Manager in directing the service department, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring quality repairs. The Working Shop Foreman’s main responsibility will be to assists the Service Manager in providing non-supervisory direction in the service department and develop apprentice and entry level technicians. This will include instruction and guidance with proper diagnostic procedures, efficient repair practices and following correct procedures outlined by the service department. While this is not a people-management position, the Working Shop Foreman keeps the Service Manager and General Manager apprised of any personnel, customer, or operational issues. The Working Shop Foreman has customer-facing responsibilities, may assist with scheduling of jobs, provides technical assistance to service technicians and provides in-house quality control to eliminate the need for rework.
