Job summary

A-B Tech in Asheville, NC is seeking an Assistant Coordinator, Workforce Programs to provide high-level logistical and operational support for Skilled Trades and Computer training programs. You will collaborate with coordinators and instructors to develop course offerings, outlines, inventories, and program assessments, while guiding students and community members on options, registration, and admissions.

You will also help with scheduling, documentation, and ensuring compliance, with duties

Qualifications

Associate degree.
Two years of full-time or equivalent work experience in an administrative, office, or customer service setting.
One year of full-time or equivalent experience with educational programming or industry training.
One year of full-time or equivalent database maintenance experience.
Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Responsibilities

This position provides high‑level logistical and operational support for Skilled Trades as well as Computer training programs.
The role collaborates with Coordinator(s) and instructors to develop and maintain course offerings, course outlines, inventories, and program assessments.
The employee also orients, advises, and informs students and community members on course options, registration processes, and admissions requirements.
The employee resolves class and instructor needs, including issues related to documentation, scheduling, and student support.
