Job summary

City of Hope in California is seeking a Workforce Optimization Manager for Foundation Revenue Cycle. You will lead a centralized workforce management team responsible for forecasting, staffing, scheduling, planning, and managing intra-day performance to support patient growth strategies.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, best practices in workforce management, and collaboration with management to align resource needs with demand while maintaining compliance and high service levels.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent plus 3 years of related experience, or 8+ years of related work experience.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes volumes, trends, and work assignments monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Ensures staffing models include accurate and updated information.
• Captures, stores, and reports on historical statistics with root-cause analysis and business impact assessment.
• Reports workload trends and staffing requirements to management.
• Uses workforce management software and internal data sources to forecast new patient calls/chats and determine staffing; communicates adjustments as needed.
• Establishes and maintains communication channels regarding events that impact workload.
• Oversees proactive scheduling of shrinkage activities like training, meetings, and overtime.
• Maintains department policies regarding attendance and time off.
