Job summary

Tech Impact in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a Workforce Development Program Manager to lead regional workforce development programs, oversee staff, and build external partnerships. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality instruction, wraparound services, and job placement support for program graduates.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, experience in workforce development, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and grant reporting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be willing to maintain a flexible schedule as occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with CRM databases, and LMS is preferred
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse economic and multicultural communities is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in workforce development programs is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of outreach and relationship development experience (with clients, volunteers, employers etc.) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of regional program delivery to ensure quality.
  • Oversee the delivery of regional workforce programs including recruitment, instruction, and job placement.
  • Coordinate class schedules, staff meetings, and community events.
  • Monitor outcomes and support enrollment, retention, and placement goals.
  • Escalate complex program issues to management.
  • Lead volunteer coordination across programs.
  • Build and sustain local partnerships with employers and community partners.
  • Support grant reporting and data entry.
