Position Overview

Pay range: $47,665 - $77,455 / year

Job Description

The Workforce Development Coordinator supports the development and implementation of workforce strategies that strengthen pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill healthcare roles. This position supports both Outside-In strategies that connect students, job seekers, and community members to healthcare careers and Inside-Up strategies that help current employees build skills, earn credentials, and advance into critical roles. The Coordinator partners with operational leaders, Human Resources, education and training providers, workforce organizations, and community partners to identify workforce needs and develop sustainable talent pipeline solutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate workforce programs aligned with organizational needs and critical healthcare occupations, including career pathways, apprenticeships, internships, work based learning, career exploration, and employee upskilling initiatives.
• Partner with operational and HR leaders to identify workforce gaps and translate needs into actionable education, training, recruitment, and pipeline strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with colleges and universities, K-12 systems, workforce agencies, community organizations, government partners, and other regional stakeholders.
• Coordinate workforce initiatives from development through implementation, including timelines, participant engagement, partner responsibilities, program logistics, and deliverables.
• Support participants throughout workforce programs, including recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, training, career navigation, and connection to employment or advancement opportunities.
• Track program participation, credential attainment, employment, advancement, retention, and other outcomes; prepare reports and updates for leaders, partners, and funders.
• Support grant-funded workforce initiatives, including identifying funding opportunities, grant writing, implementation, documentation, reporting, and compliance.
• Represent the organization in regional workforce initiatives, meetings, career exploration activities, and community partnerships.
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare workforce trends, education and training resources, workforce funding opportunities, and emerging regional talent needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Development, Human Resources, Education, Business Healthcare Administrations, Public Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered as appropriate. Healthcare workforce development experience preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Experience in workforce development, program coordination, education, community engagement, talent development, or a related area.
• Strong project coordination, relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to track program data, outcomes, and deliverables.
• Experience developing workforce pipelines, career pathways, or training programs for critical or hard-to fill occupations.
• Knowledge of and experience working within the Region 4 workforce development ecosystem.
• Experience working with education providers, workforce agencies, community-based organizations, or government partners.
• Experience with apprenticeships, work-based learning, internships, career exploration, or incumbent worker training.
• Experience with informal or experiential learning and career exposure programming.
• Experience with grant writing, grant management, and grant-funded program reporting.
