Job summary

North Shore Community College is seeking a Workforce Development Programmer (Staff Associate) for the Corporate and Professional Education division to oversee non-credit workforce courses and certificates and to align offerings with community needs.

The role emphasizes budget management, market-informed program development, and collaboration with career centers, vendors, municipalities, and faculty to expand health, trades, and technology education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field and minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience developing non-credit workforce and community programs or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience in Community College course design and budget/grant management.
• Experience in assessment of community needs and designing relevant course programming.
• Experience working on a leadership team to setup educational programming through collaboration with colleagues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software systems.
• Process oriented with superb organizational skills and a strong ability to multitask.
• Proven research and analytical skills.
• Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
• Ability to analyze data and meet budget requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees instructional design and delivery of non-credit workforce courses/programs/certificates.
• Develops, enhances, refines, expands, and schedules programs and courses.
• Manages budgets and engages with stakeholders to drive revenue-generating initiatives.
• Recruits and oversees program instructors and coordinates schedules.
• Works with HR and student support services to ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinates meetings with departments and external agencies for program review.
