Job summary

Northwest Shoals Community College seeks a Coordinator of Workforce Alignment to build and sustain employer relationships, identify skill gaps, and align credentials and trainings with local workforce needs. The role partners with Adult Education to develop workforce readiness and connect learners to relevant opportunities.

The position includes curriculum support, assessments, data reporting, and collaboration with staff to improve training pathways and employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Professional experience in workforce development or employer engagement preferred.
• Experience delivering workplace education or credentialing programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary workforce and employer-engagement staff member for Credential College.
• Recruit and engage employers to utilize the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate.
• Facilitate ACT WorkKeys job-profile sessions with employer SMEs to identify required skills.
• Support Work Ready Community initiatives through employer engagement and partnerships.
• Administer and interpret assessments and placement instruments to identify participant needs.
• Assist participants with job-search skills and goal setting.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and outcome tracking.
• Collect and report program data related to ACT WorkKeys and outcomes.
• Promote a skills-based approach to talent pipeline development.
• Collaborate with instructors to develop and deliver workforce training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
