Job summary

KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support medication orders and workflow management within a patient‑centered call center.

Responsibilities include accurate data entry of prescriptions and refills, processing foundation and billing/shipping methods, and providing clinical services in TherigySTM, while assisting in training new staff as needed in Syracuse, NY. Minimum 6–12 months pharmacy technician experience and a high school diploma; pharmacy tech certification

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Pharmacy technician certification.
  • 6–12 months experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Past experience in a customer service related field.

Responsibilities

  • Enter medication orders and manage workflow.
  • Daily preparation of call center workflow.
  • Accurate data entry of incoming prescriptions and refills.
  • Maintain prescription refill requests.
  • Foundation Assistance management.
  • Backup for inbound/outbound calls as required.
  • Select billing and shipping methods for patient orders.
  • Provide clinical services in TherigySTM.
  • Resolve customer service issues to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Resolve payment issues on accounts/orders.
  • Maintain production as directed by supervisor.
  • Orient and train new employees.
  • Complete mandatory and regulatory training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview
Scope of Responsibilities

Works under general supervision. Follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. May assist in orienting and training employees.

Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects related to entering of medication orders and workflow management.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for daily preparation of call center workflow
  • Responsible for accurate data entry of incoming prescriptions and refills
  • Responsible for maintaining prescription refill requests
  • Responsible for Foundation Assistance management
  • Responsible as a backup for inbound/outbound calls as required
  • Responsible for accurately selecting billing and shipping methods for incoming patient orders
  • Provide clinical services in TherigySTM
  • Provides resolution to customer service issues to ensure member satisfaction
  • Work with members to provide resolution to payment related issues on accounts/orders
  • Maintain and keep reasonable production as determined by supervisor
  • May assist in orienting and training new employees
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Attendance Requirements
  • Must be available, and on-time for scheduled work shifts.
  • Must be able to work nights as required.
Educational Requirements
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Pharmacy technician or related certification
Experience
  • Past experience in a customer service related field
  • 6-12 months experience as a pharmacy technician
Special Conditions Of Employment
  • Drug test

Compensation

$18.00-21.00 an hour

The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years experience and education.
