Job summary

Accelevation, an innovator in industrial infrastructure, seeks a Workers' Compensation Program Manager to own Ohio and multi-state claims operations. You will coordinate with Operations, Safety, HR, Legal, and providers to drive timely resolution, cost control, and compliant processes.

Role emphasizes rigorous follow-up, documentation, and return-to-work programs, impacting claims outcomes and organizational risk management. Strong Excel/reporting and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Direct experience managing Ohio BWC claims.
• Multi-state workers' compensation experience preferred.
• Experience with carriers, TPAs, brokers, legal counsel, medical providers, and claims partners.
• Manufacturing, industrial, construction, field services, or similar experience strongly preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Human Resources, Nursing, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
• Certifications in workers' compensation are a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of the workers' compensation claim lifecycle.
• Knowledge of reserves, incurred costs, loss development, and cost containment practices.
• Ability to analyze claim notes, medical records, work status reports, claims data, and loss runs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator for workers' compensation claims in Ohio and other states where Accelevation operates.
• Ensure claims are reported promptly, accurately, and in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with injured employees, management, HR, Safety, medical providers, carriers, TPAs, and legal partners.
• Actively manage claim activity including treatment status, work restrictions, benefits, wage information, documentation, deadlines, and required follow-up actions.
• Coordinate return-to-work and transitional-duty programs and employee communication.
• Maintain complete, accurate, confidential, and compliant claim files.
• Lead regular reviews of open and legacy claims and establish action plans for resolution.
• Review reserves, payments, and total incurred costs to align with strategy.
• Identify barriers that increase duration or cost, and address them.
• Evaluate settlement opportunities and subrogation potential.
• Maintain dashboards and reporting for claim inventory, aging, reserves, return-to-work status, and costs.
• Analyze claim data to identify cost-control opportunities.
• Provide updates to leadership on performance and financial exposure.
• Support renewals with loss runs and exposure data.
• Collaborate with Operations, Safety, HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, carriers, brokers, TPAs, and medical providers.
• Escalate high-exposure claims with clear recommendations and action plans.
• Develop procedures and tools to improve claim visibility and follow-through.
• Share trend data to support incident-prevention and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement of claim management processes.
• Ensure coordination with stakeholders and continuous improvement of program effectiveness.
