Job summary

Accelevation seeks a Workers' Compensation Program Manager to own day-to-day administration of the company’s workers' compensation program, focusing on Ohio BWC claims and expanding to other states. You will coordinate with Operations, Safety, HR, Legal, medical providers, and brokers to drive timely resolutions, return-to-work, and cost containment.

You will develop reporting dashboards, analyze trends, and support claim strategy with leadership.

Qualifications

• Direct experience managing Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) claims is required.
• Multi-state workers' compensation experience is preferred.
• Experience working with carriers, TPAs, brokers, legal counsel, medical providers, and claims partners is desired.
• Manufacturing, industrial, construction, field services, or similar experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator for workers' compensation claims in Ohio and other states where Accelevation operates.
• Ensure claims are reported promptly and in compliance with requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with injured employees, management, HR, Safety, medical providers, carriers, TPAs, and legal partners.
• Actively manage claim activity including treatment status, work restrictions, benefits, and documentation.
• Coordinate return-to-work and transitional-duty programs with appropriate employee communication.
• Maintain complete, confidential, and compliant claim files.
• Lead regular reviews of open and legacy claims and establish action plans for resolution.
• Review reserves, payments, and total incurred costs to align with strategy.
• Identify barriers increasing duration, cost, or complexity; evaluate settlements.
• Support administration of auto liability, general liability, and other insurance-related claims.
