Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a Workers Compensation Paralegal/Legal Assistant in a busy workers' compensation practice. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in Florida and is prepared to work in-person.

The role involves drafting pleadings, coordinating hearings and depositions, and supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organization are essential, with preference for FILEVINE experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with FILEVINE or similar case management system preferred.
• Must be eager to work with busy attorneys and have a positive attitude.
• Ability to handle a high-volume practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, notices, hearings, and requests for production.
• Coordinate scheduling of meetings, hearings, and depositions.
• Manage deadlines and prep attorneys for appointments.
• Draft routine correspondence and route incoming mail and calls.

Our client is seeking a Workers Compensation Paralegal/Legal Assistant. The ideal applicant would have 5+ years of workers' compensation legal assistant and/or paralegal experience in Florida.

Requirements

• Legal assistant/paralegal must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advantage if you have working knowledge of FILEVINE or a similar case management system.
• This candidate must be eager to work with very busy attorneys, be self-motivated, and have a great attitude.
• Ability to handle high volume practice.
• ONLY EXPERIENCED WORK COMP WILL BE CONSIDERED.
• Paralegal: 5 years (Required)
• Work Location: In person

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparation of pleadings including, but not limited to, motions, subpoenas, notices, hearings, and requests for production.
• Coordination/scheduling of meetings, hearings, appointments, and depositions.
• Managing deadlines, preparing attorneys for appointments.
• Drafting and composing typing routine correspondence, reading and routing of incoming mail, taking calls from clients, attorneys, adjusters, J.A.'s, opposing counsel, etc.
• Excellent organizational, secretarial and clerical skills (telephone & computer) required.
• Experience with FILEVINE or similar programs preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred, however not required.
• Organized, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with a great attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills (must be professional and courteous).
• Work Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 1-hour break for lunch.
