We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Fort Myers.

The Workers’ Compensation Paralegal will support attorneys by handling a variety of tasks to assist with workers’ compensation cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers’ compensation law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in managing workers’ compensation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in compliance with court rules.
  • Conduct client interviews to gather case-related information and maintain regular communication with clients regarding case updates.
  • Coordinate and manage the discovery process, including obtaining and organizing medical records, preparing discovery responses, and summarizing depositions.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Prepare hearing and trial notebooks and assist attorneys during hearings and trials.
  • Monitor case deadlines and maintain the attorney’s calendar to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform legal research and compile information to support case strategy.
  • Manage electronic and physical case files, ensuring all documents are properly organized and up-to-date.
Qualifications
