Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related work experience as a legal assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients, adjusters, and providers; timely callbacks.
• Initial file setup into case management software.
• Manage mail, email, and fax communications.
• Calendar management for attorneys and deadlines.
• Prepare settlement documents when needed.
• Scan documents to the correct client file.
• Close electronic files promptly.
• Draft basic legal pleadings.

We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Workers Compensation Legal Assistant in Baton Rouge to support the WC team.

Job responsibilities:

• Contacting clients, adjusters and providers on a regular basis and calls are returned in a timely manner.
• Initial file setup into case management software.
• Mail management of all incoming/outgoing mail, email or fax.
• Calendar management for attorneys regarding deadlines, client meetings and all other scheduled events as well as confirming addresses for meetings.
• Preparation of any settlement documents when necessary.
  
• Scanning of documents to the appropriate party and/or client file.
  
• Close out of electronic files in a timely manner.
• Drafting of basic legal pleadings

As a WC Legal Assistantfor Dudley DeBosier, you will provide clients with extremely great customer service from the inception of the case until its resolution.

Applicants must be:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Customer service focused, detail-oriented and proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent with time management and organizational skills
