Job summary

Dudley DeBosier Injury Lawyers in Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to support the WC team. You will manage client communications, organize case files, and assist with settlements and filings.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of legal assistant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent time management and strong interpersonal skills to deliver top-notch client service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients, adjusters, and providers regularly and calls are returned in a timely manner.
• Initial file setup into the case management system.
• Mail management of all incoming/outgoing mail, email or fax.
• Calendar management for attorneys regarding deadlines, client meetings and all scheduled events as well as confirming addresses for meetings.
• Preparation of any settlement documents when necessary.
• Scanning of documents to the appropriate party and/or client file.
• Close out of electronic files in a timely manner.
• Drafting of basic legal pleadings.

Job responsibilities:

• Contacting clients, adjusters and providers on a regular basis and calls are returned in a timely manner.
• Initial file setup into case management software.
• Mail management of all incoming/outgoing mail, email or fax.
