Job summary

OrthoArizona, a large orthopedic practice in Phoenix, seeks a Worker’s Compensation Coordinator to manage appointments, registrations, authorizations, and communications with patients, adjusters, and clinical teams. The role supports patients preparing for physician, MRI, or physical therapy visits.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, customer-service excellence, and experience in medical office administration, with familiarity in workers’ compensation processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of medical office administration or clinical experience preferred, with Workers' Compensation or orthopedic office a plus.
• Exceptional customer service and patient focus; strive to make each encounter positive.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with accurate documentation workflow.
• Knowledge of insurance, especially workers' compensation and health provisions; experience with EHR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate workers’ compensation appointments and ancillary services.
• Obtain authorization and pre-certification for services as needed.
• Enter patient demographics, insurance and business office data into the Practice Management System.
• Communicate with employers, adjusters, attorneys, and clinical teams on case issues.
• Ensure patient portal access and timely distribution of forms before visits.
• Meet or exceed patient satisfaction goals.
