Our Client, a leading A-rated Insurance Carrier, is actively expanding their California Workers Compensation Department. They are in search of an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Supervisor to overseam of 4-5 Claims Examiners handling moderate to complex, litigated Workers Compensation Lost Time claims across California from start to finish. This position requires a thorough understanding of California Workers Compensation Law and the capability to efficiently manage responsibilities remotely. This position will allow qualified candidates to work fully remote!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of adjusters managing a caseload of 90 - 100 moderate to complex, litigated California Workers' Compensation claims independently.
  • Evaluate and resolve issues related to coverage, compensability, damage assessment, and reserve adequacy for each claim.
  • Maintain effective communication with policyholders, agents, claimants, attorneys, and medical providers.
  • Negotiate settlements adeptly with injured workers and their legal representatives.
  • Offer strategic direction to legal counsel and supervise the litigation process effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling California Workers' Compensation claims, with 2 years experienced in a supervisor role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of California Workers' Compensation Law.
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational capabilities.
  • SIP certification highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $110,000 to $130,000 annual base salary + performance-based bonuses.
