Property & Casualty Claims Supervisor

This position is a remote opportunity. NYS Adjuster License is required.

Position Summary

Responsible for oversight of the adjusting team, managing claim reviews, investigations, and final resolutions for property, auto, and liability claims, including litigation matters. Ensure timely communication of reserves and settlement strategies to clients.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee team reviewing and interpreting coverage, processing claims, and conducting investigations for Auto, No Fault PIP, Auto Med Pay, and General Liability Claims.
2. Manage outside investigative service providers and collaborate with clients and counsel to advance claims.
3. Maintain ongoing diaries and continually assess exposure and reserves.
4. Approve Loss Reports with detailed analysis of coverage, liability, and damages.
5. Ensure team recognizes subrogation or risk transfer opportunities and initiates recovery efforts.
6. Track success against KPIs and provide excellent client service.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred; two years auto and liability casualty experience or equivalent.

Special Requirements:

• At least two years of Automobile Supervision experience.
• Knowledge of claims handling, coverage issues, litigation management, and product lines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Computer proficiency.

Preferred Skills:

• Effective communication, relationship management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good analytical abilities, customer service skills, understanding of litigation processes, and ability to follow instructions.
• Time management, organizational skills, and proficiency with computers.

Other Qualifications: Candidate must have adjuster licenses and be willing to obtain a NY license if not already licensed.
